Village of Indigo

Zhoucheng Village - Yunnan, China (Dec 2008)

This small village in China is well known for their indigo dye production and culture. The art of dyeing is a time-honored handicraft by the local Bai minority, who make it their life's work. The techniques appeared in the 3rd or 4th century in China and are still used today.
